A pattern selector is on the unit for easy pattern changes (often called john deere versus cat controls or pattern change or ISO controls versus SAE controls) The lever to change this pattern is at the left under the operators seat. Proper care must be taken to change this correctly. The correct way to change the pattern is to lift the safety lever, ensure the key is off and the engine is off, then move the lever to the desired operating pattern.
