About Slaymaker Rentals

Our Story

Dale Slaymaker founded Slaymaker Electric, a family-owned company, in 1986 — starting his calling in the farming community, repairing electric motors for customers who had been told their motors were beyond repair. That company still solves problems in the electrical and mechanical realm, offering a full line of electric motors, VFD drives, pumps, generators, converters, and custom control boxes for farming, commercial, and industrial customers.

From the very beginning, Slaymaker Electric would rent out motors and generators to keep customers running while their own units were being repaired. Those were the seeds of the rental business, and demand kept growing. In 2007, Slaymaker Rentals was officially established to rent boom lifts, excavators, telehandlers, generators, and other specialty machinery for projects large and small — for some of the largest companies in the region, for grass-roots businesses run by sole proprietors, and for savvy, independent homeowners.

We continue to grow our portfolio of equipment as our customer base grows by word of mouth — for excellent service, fair pricing, and the "can do" spirit that Slaymaker Electric instilled and Slaymaker Rentals inherited. Today we serve customers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, and beyond. Long term or short term, we go where you go — so let's get there together.
